Dr. Hebert was born in Eunice, LA., and grew up in the Ville Platte, LA area. The majority of his early education was through the Louisiana State University system, where he attended LSUE and LSU, culminating with his graduation in 1994 from the Louisiana State University Medical Center- School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA. His post-doctoral studies included a General Surgery Internship and an Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Residency through the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He then continued his training while completing a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship with Dr. Lauren D. Holinger at Northwestern University Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Hebert became a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery in 2000, and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and several professional organizations including the American Rhinologic Society, American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy, American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
Upon his return to Louisiana, Dr. Hebert and his wife, Charice M. Hebert, MD, co-founded Hebert Medical Group and began their practices in Eunice at Acadian Medical Center, formerly Eunice Community Medical Center, a member of the Life Point Hospital Corporation. Dr. Hebert has taken an active role in hospital physician leadership, serving in many positions and most recently as a member of the Life Point Hospital Corporation Physician Advisory Board. Along with Acadian Medical Center, Dr. Hebert is affiliated with Jennings American Legion Hospital and Ville Platte Medical Center in Southwestern and Central Acadiana, respectively. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at LSU Health Science Center–UMC in Lafayette, LA.
Along with spending time with his wife and three boys, Dr. Hebert’s other interests include community involvement in education and photography. He is a member of the LSUE Advisory Board, LSUE Foundation, and serves on the St. Edmund Catholic School Board and Academic Booster Club.
